25 марта 1989 года. Мадонна номер один в Англии с композицией Like a Prayer. К тому времени уже 6 хитов певицы на вершине чарта. Позднее, этот трек станет первым и в США. Любопытно, что талантливая певица пробовала свои силы и в качестве модельера! Ее коллекция подростковой одежды Material Girls появилась на прилавках магазинов летом 2010 года. Разрабатывать линию ей помогала дочь Лурдес. Правда, встречена коллекция была весьма сдержанно… Даже бунтующими модницами. Потому как дизайн «от Мадонны» показался им слишком смелым.
